JAN 22nd, 2021
As 2020 has brought us changes, we've made a point to hone in on what's important to us and get back to the creative concepts that built the Rebecca Schoneveld brand.

We've also taken the time to really step back and appreciate the things and people who help us - specifically, our lovely retailers!

So in continuation of this blog series sharing all about the most beautiful bridal shops, boutiques and salons who carry our dresses, here is another stunning bridal shop we love and know you will love too!

Salon shoutout to Annalise Bridal Boutique!

Led by owner Lindsey Livesay, Annalise Bridal is all about providing a luxury bridal experience for brides in their Central Virginia salon.

We asked Lindsey some questions to give our brides some insight to the inner workings of Annalise Bridal and a little about herself.
When did you start thinking of opening a bridal boutique?

My own post wedding blues & desire to own a meaningful business where I could build relationships was what sparked the idea of opening a bridal boutique!

How big is your shop?

We like to think of our shop as a cozy intimate space. We utilize every inch of our 1600 square foot space!

When did you open?

We opened in October of 2015. We had a small launch party early that month that was full of family, friends, & fellow wedding industry vendors to kick off our grand opening.

How would you describe your store's vibe (or maybe describe your ideal bride)?

Our store's vibe is light, airy, & homey. We want our brides to have a sense of comfort and hominess when they shop with us. Our store is set up so it feels like our brides & their guests are sitting on their own couch. We hope this at-home environment allows them to relax and let the stress of wedding dress shopping melt away. We want our brides to know that dress shopping can be stress-free, intimate, & special and we're here to make sure their experience is just that!

When you were younger (pick an age) what did you think would be your dream career?

I actually thought I'd be a teacher when I was younger. When I was really young I loved paying school and coming up with lesson plans even making my family members participate. I think what I love about my career now is that I do get to educate and teach brides every day.

What is the best part of your job?

The very best part of my job is developing deep relationships with our brides and seeing them so happy. Although, our journey with them ends right before the wedding, we stay in touch and usually get to see their photos of the big day and I absolutely love seeing their beautiful day!

Tell us about your upbringing.

I grew up in a small town outside of Memphis, Tennessee. The kind of place where you know almost everyone you see. I have one older sister who is my very best friend. We are three years apart and have always gotten along wonderfully. She's looked after me my whole life and I joke sometimes that it was like I grew up with two moms. And now that we are both moms, she treats my daughters like her own.

What is one of the most challenging parts of your job?

While there are many challenging parts about owning a bridal boutique, I think one of the most difficult is managing so many personalities. We never know what's about to walk through our doors whether it be a bride who has had a terrible day or a mom who is not on board with her daughter's bridal vision. It's also such an emotional decision and time for a bride so it can bring out the deep feelings...good and bad. We are there to support her and some days I go home feeling exhausted from the many "therapy" sessions.

Can you remember and describe one of your favorite outfits from childhood?

Not necessarily childhood, but for my highschool Senior graduation, I asked my mom to recreate Rachel Green's yellow dress from "Friends" season 5 the episode called "The One With All The Kissing". Yes, I'm a total "Friends" nerd and you should look it up. My sweet mom put hours into making a duplicate embroidered dress and she nailed it. I've never been so happy than I was getting to wear that thing!

What item of clothing could you currently not live without?

Do you have any children? Pets?

Two Daughters, Hannah (3) and Josie (2 months)

It's your day off. What is your morning like?

    Coffee, breakfast and music.

What do you do for fun or to unwind?

We moved into a big fixer upper house a couple of years ago. I have projects galore and lots of decoration still to do. So in my spare time I like to tackle those projects.

Annalise Bridal Boutique has a full expert team of stylists who even have experience and expertise in other areas of weddings to give you an extra oomph when deciding on your dream dress. They are able to go over other aspects of wedding and what that means for you and your dress in ways you may not have thought of before.

"Our goal is to keep the bridal boutique experience fresh and fun and hopefully the day you choose your gown will be as memorable as the day you wear it. We are delighted to get to know each and every "Annalise Bride" and honored to be a part of your special day!"
